Joe Slovo aftermath and fire assistance – 09 March 2009

FIRE ASSISTANCE: Western Cape MEC for Local Government, Pierre Uys and MEC for Social Development, Zodwa Magwaza, visited fire victims in Joe Slovo informal settlement to offer their support. The Western Cape government handed out food and blankets to about 450 families who lost all their belongings when a fire destroyed a section of the informal settlement on March 9.
