Tutu toyi-toyis to open UWC’s School of Public Health
Archbishop Desmond Tutu opened the University of the Western Cape’s state-of-the-art School of Public Health building this week.
The archbishop, who is chancellor of the university, said the public health school and its masters programme showed the ‘incredible turnaround’ of UWC since it was founded during apartheid. The launch heralded a new phase of teaching and research in public health, a vital sector in the wellbeing of South Africans.
