One year to the World Cup – 11 June 2009

President Jacob Zuma, accompanied by Western Cape Premier Helen Zille and Fifa secretary-general Jerome Valcke, visited the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.  The event marked the one year countdown to the 2010 Fifa World Cup Soccer Tournament.  Zuma addressed construction workers at the stadium, who handed him gifts, including a pair of soccer boots.
