Nelson Mandela at the ANC’s 80th Anniversary celebration in Bloemfontein – 8 January 1992

Struggle icons and award recipients Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Helen Joseph, Raymond Mhlaba and others celebrate at the award ceremony of Isitwalandwe on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the ANC held in Bloemfontein. The Isitwalandwe award represents the highest honour awarded by the people of South Africa, through the African National Congress, to those who have made an outstanding contribution and sacrifice to the liberation struggle. Attending the ceremony are, among others, Cyril Ramaphosa, Winnie Mandela and Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
