Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday

The Methodist church where a young Nelson Mandela was baptized in Qunu. Mandela claims to have spent some of his happiest days in this village and has returned to it for his retirement. This set also contains photos from the Bunga building in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. This building houses the story of the Long Walk to Freedom (Mandela’s autobiography) and an exhibition of the many gifts received by Nelson Mandela on behalf of the South African people. It is also home to one of three Nelson Mandela Museums, which collect, interpret and exhibit key aspects of the story of the life of Nelson Mandela in context.
