Archbishop Desmond Tutu; Kicking for Peace Initiative – 25 April 2009

 

Emeritus Archbishop Desmond Tutu went to kick ball at the Kicking for Peace Initiative on the April 25, 2009. This initiative offers children and youth from different soccer training and life skills including health and wellbeing in communities. Among the teams were: The Ark City of Refuges (Faure), Women for Peace (Mfuleni), Ubabalo (Stellenbosch), 20 UWC staff from the department for Sport and  Exercise Science, Youth  Against Crime (Mfuleni), Women for Peace (Guguletu), Children for Tomorrow (Langa), New World Foundation (Lavender Hill/Capricorn), and senior citizens and community members from Mfuleni.
