Allan Boesak resurrection 2005

Allan Boesak and wife Elna is welcomed by members of the congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church of Picketberg. Boesak was re-ordained symbolically by priests and the Archbishop of Cape Town, Njongokulu Ndungane to welcome him back into the church.

The Rev Walter Philander said that the decision to re-ordain Boesak had nothing to to with the presidential pardon he had received a few weeks ago. “Rev Boesak had long applied for his status as pastor at our church. His status was taken away by the church when he went into politics.”
