Liquor Bill Act March – 27 January 2009

Western Cape minister of finance, economic development and tourism Garth Strachan interacts with shebeen owners and workers as they gathered outside Cape Town’s parliament to protest the proposed Western Cape Liquor Act. The Act will require, amongst other things, that all shebeens apply for a license in order to operate or face forced closure.
